Crime prevention/compliance manual: The Compliance manual includes a complaints system for employees and collaborators, with a procedure for investigating and resolving complaints. An annual evaluation report of complaints received and resolved is made annually. Since 2022, FUNDACIÓ DAU has included an ethical clause in its contracts with customers and suppliers that includes human rights, labor, environmental and anti-corruption standards. Within the Fundació DAU’s ISO 9001 quality management system, stakeholders are identified in the “Stakeholders” section, among others. The most recent update was in 2021, and the identification process is based on measuring the impact these stakeholders have on the organization. Positive contributions to sustainable development or economic, social, and environmental impact
Fundacio Dau’s materiality analysis highlights its primary positive contribution to social development, as the foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life of people with mental health issues by helping them secure quality, decently paid jobs.
The second positive impact is economic; by calculating the return on investment from social revenues (public and private subsidies), we obtain LAboratori’s Social SROI Ratio DAU FOUNDATION: 1 €: 3.39 €. In other words, for every euro that the public or private sector provides to DAU, DAU obtains and generates social value amounting to 339% of the amount provided, demonstrating that this is not an expense but rather an investment in the community. These positive impact factors allow us, as an organization, to be sustainable, since we generate 70% of our financial resources from our own funds. Our goal is 100%, since this would minimize the future impact on the organization’s mission of any changes in funding allocations or reductions in grants.
The materiality analysis identifies two areas for improvement: first, we need to better understand our impact on the environment as an organization; and second, we need to minimize our negative impact on the environment as much as possible.
We do not currently have a materiality matrix that complies with reporting standards such as the GRI or the European ESRS standards; however, the RightSupply platform will allow us to expand our analysis process to include new impact areas, such as environmental issues.
