Our commitment and values |
In recent years, Ventós has significantly strengthened its commitment to the impact it generates on the ecosystem and society. We are fully aware of the value and responsibility that the word sustainability entails, and therefore we work every day to move towards a future that has it as a fundamental pillar. In line with this vision, the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee was formed three years ago, comprising professionals from different departments of the company. This diversity guarantees a cross-cutting perspective that allows us to address the challenges from multiple approaches and ensure that the decisions taken consider all the dimensions involved: economic, social and environmental. This committee acts as a driver of change within the organization, promoting initiatives that consolidate our sustainable culture. At Ventós, we remain firmly committed to this path, convinced that business growth must always be accompanied by respect for the environment and responsibility towards people.

| Other Improvements in Circular Economy |
| VSME Ref. (CSRD-EU): B7.001 | ||
| In 2024, in line with our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, Ernesto Ventós has intensified its efforts towards the implementation of a circular economy model, focused on reducing the environmental impact of our packaging and waste. One of the most relevant milestones this year has been our adhesion to the Envalora SCRAP, the Extended Producer Responsibility Collective System, through which we actively assume our obligations in the management of industrial and commercial packaging waste. This decision reinforces our compliance with current legislation and demonstrates our willingness to participate in collective solutions that promote reuse, recycling and more efficient management of materials. We have also made progress in complying with the packaging declaration, an essential process that allows us to identify and quantify the materials placed on the market, thus facilitating accurate and transparent traceability. This control is key to assessing the impact of our operations and planning medium- and long-term improvements. At Ventós we are also working to ensure that the components of our packaging -mainly plastics, metals and cardboard- are progressively sourced from recycled materials. However, due to the nature of our products, many of which are highly sensitive or at high risk of contamination, the reuse of packaging or the extensive use of recycled materials is a major challenge. The safety, quality and purity of the substances we handle is a priority, which requires specific conditions for packaging materials. Despite these technical limitations, we continue to explore innovative solutions and collaborate with specialized suppliers to develop sustainable alternatives that meet the safety standards required by our industry. The circular economy is a strategic focus for Ventós, and we will continue to work to integrate its principles into all possible processes, without compromising the excellence of our products. |

| Description of the evaluated CO2eq. emissions inventory |
| The Ernesto Ventós carbon footprint inventory has been prepared in accordance with the criteria established in the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Calculation Guide published by the Generalitat de Catalunya. This technical document provides the methodology for the standardized quantification of emissions, which guarantees the reliability and traceability of the data obtained. The calculation includes the emissions associated with various relevant sources within our activity, among which are:
The inventory includes both Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions generated by own sources, such as boilers or company vehicles) and Scope 2 emissions (indirect emissions derived from the consumption of purchased electricity). This quantification exercise not only allows us to know precisely our contribution to GHG emissions, but also constitutes a key requirement for adherence to the Voluntary Agreements Program for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Through this program, Ernesto Ventós undertakes to monitor its emissions annually and to implement specific measures to reduce them, thus promoting a responsible climate strategy aimed at continuous improvement. |

Among the sustainable labor practices adopted by Ernesto Ventós, those linked to the analysis of occupational risks and preventive planning are particularly noteworthy. These actions are an integral part of our occupational health and safety strategy, and are aimed at anticipating, identifying and minimizing possible risks that may affect the physical and psychological well-being of our workers. At Ernesto Ventós, the safety and sustainability of our products are not independent concepts, but complementary and integrated dimensions in all phases of our activity: from the selection of raw materials, through design and development, to handling, storage and distribution. Product SafetyAlthough we are upstream in the supply chain and do not market products directly to the end consumer, we apply a rigorous approach to chemical safety and regulatory compliance. Our technical-regulatory department ensures that all products comply with the applicable legal provisions, such as REACH and CLP regulations, ensuring their correct classification, labeling, technical documentation and traceability. We also maintain proactive communication channels with our customers, providing personalized support, updated safety data sheets and technical documentation that facilitates their subsequent safe and compliant use in different industries, such as perfumery, food or fine chemicals. Product SustainabilityFrom an environmental perspective, we integrate sustainability criteria throughout the life cycle of our products:
Our adherence to international sustainability standards, such as the EcoVadis evaluation (where the Ventós Group has obtained the bronze medal), reinforces our commitment to the development of safe, responsible and environmentally friendly products. In short, we are committed to product management based on safety, transparency and sustainability, contributing to a supply chain that is more ethical, resilient and aligned with today's global challenges. |

Goal 11: Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
Ref. GRI Standard: 203-1
At Ventós we are fully aware of the impact that our activity generates in the urban and social environment that surrounds us. For this reason, we work actively to integrate ourselves responsibly into the community, minimizing our environmental footprint, promoting social cohesion and supporting local initiatives that promote collective well-being. Architectural and environmental integration into the urban environmentThe Sant Just Desvern facilities have been designed and adapted applying architectural sustainability criteria, which allows us to integrate visually and functionally into the urban fabric. We highlight actions such as the use of roofs for the installation of solar panels, the use of materials with low environmental impact and the design of green and accessible spaces. Objective 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its effects.
GRI Standard: 201-2, 302-1, 302-2, 302-3, 302-4, 302-5, 305-1, 305-2, 305-3, 305-4, 305-5
Ventós' commitment to climate action is reflected in the implementation of concrete strategies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting the use of clean energy and moving towards a more resilient, low-carbon industrial operation. Our approach goes beyond regulatory compliance: we take an active role in the fight against climate change as an integral part of our corporate responsibility. Calculation of carbon footprint and adherence to the Acords Voluntaris programSince 2022, Ventós annually calculates its Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint, incorporating direct and indirect emissions from energy consumption, fossil fuel use, fluorinated gases, waste management and water consumption. This analysis is carried out in accordance with the methodological guide of the Generalitat de Catalunya and has allowed us to adhere to the Acords Voluntaris program, through which we commit to establish annual emission reduction measures and to carry out a transparent and verifiable monitoring of our climate evolution. In 2024, 343 t of CO₂ emissions were recorded (scope 1 and 2), while the mitigation actions implemented - such as the use of renewable energies and improved energy efficiency - made it possible to avoid the emission of 259.19 t additional. Use of 75% renewable energy and expansion of self-generation75% of the electricity consumed by Ventós comes from certified renewable sources, which significantly reduces the environmental footprint of our activity. In addition, we have begun to expand the photovoltaic solar park at our facilities, with the aim of increasing our own energy generation capacity and progressively reducing our dependence on external energy sources. Forest management as a carbon sinkThrough collaboration with the Selvans association, Ventós currently protects 27 hectares of centenary forest in Catalonia, composed of mature oak groves that act as a natural carbon sink, with an estimated annual capture capacity of 150 tons of CO₂. This action, in addition to mitigating climate change, contributes to the conservation of biodiversity and the natural heritage of the territory. Cross-cutting commitment to decarbonizationAll of Ventós' strategic decisions take into account their climate impact. From improving logistics efficiency to the development of more sustainable products and the promotion of the circular economy, we work under a global vision of reducing climate impact in all operational areas. |
|
Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
GRI Standard Ref.: 304-1, 304-2, 304-3, 304-4, 305-1, 305-2, 305-3, 305-4, 305-5, 305-7, 306-1, 306-3, 306-5
Although Ventós' core business does not take place in marine environments nor does it have a direct impact on ocean ecosystems, we recognize the strategic importance of conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas and marine resources, consistent with the principles of the 2030 Agenda. Currently, no specific projects directly linked to SDG 14 have been identified, as our operations do not significantly affect aquatic or coastal environments. However, we are fully aware that many of the actions we take on land - such as waste management, chemical use efficiency, wastewater treatment and single-use plastic reduction - have indirect effects on marine ecosystems. Future outlookAs part of our commitment to continuous improvement, Ventós' sustainability committee contemplates exploring new initiatives related to the protection of marine biodiversity, in collaboration with entities specialized in ocean conservation or through educational and environmental awareness programs. We also maintain a preventive approach in our processes to avoid any type of spillage or waste that could reach watercourses and affect water quality or aquatic ecosystems. |
|
Goal 15: Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
GRI Standard: 304-1, 304-2, 304-3, 304-4, 305-1, 305-2, 305-3, 305-4, 305-5, 305-7, 306-3, 306-5
At Ventós we understand that the protection of terrestrial ecosystems is not only an environmental responsibility, but also an ethical and strategic investment in the future of the planet. Therefore, we implement concrete initiatives aimed at biodiversity conservation, soil protection and the promotion of sustainable practices in our natural environments of influence. Active protection of old-growth forestsOne of the most outstanding projects in this line is the collaboration with the Selvans association, through which Ventós sponsors and protects 27 hectares of mature forest in Catalonia. This area, called Bosque Ventós, is mainly composed of century-old holm oaks that act as authentic carbon sinks, with an estimated absorption capacity of 150 tons of CO₂ per year. This action not only helps to mitigate climate change, but also contributes to preserving ecosystems of high ecological value, with native plant and animal species. Promotion of sustainable cultivation of aromatic and medicinal species. In collaboration with local entities, we participate in the PAMinCAT project, aimed at studying the feasibility of introducing crops of aromatic and medicinal species in rural areas of Catalonia. This initiative aims to recover the productive value of degraded forest areas, promoting low-impact agriculture, linked to the fragrances and essences sector, and favoring the sustainable economic development of rural areas. Reduction of the terrestrial impact of industrial activityFrom an operational point of view, we apply principles of environmental integration in our facilities, prioritizing the minimization of the impact on the environment, respect for local biodiversity and the incorporation of green areas. In addition, waste management and the responsible use of resources such as water and energy indirectly contribute to reducing pressure on terrestrial ecosystems. |
|
Goal 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, facilitate access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Ref. GRI Standard: 102-16, 102-17, 102-21, 102-22, 102-23, 102-24, 102-25, 102-29, 102-37, 205-1, 205-2, 205-3, 206-1, 307-1, 403-4-a, 403-4-b, 403-9-a, 403-9-b, 403-9-c, 403-10-a, 403-10-b, 403-10-c, 408-1, 410-1, 414-1, 414-2, 415-1, 416-2, 417-2, 417-3, 418-1, 419-1
At Ventós we promote a corporate culture based on ethics, transparency and Compliance, essential principles to consolidate relationships of trust, guarantee the integrity of our operations and contribute to the construction of solid, fair and responsible institutions. Regulatory compliance and legal responsibilityAll Ventós activities are carried out in strict compliance with the laws and regulations applicable in each of the countries where we operate. Our commitment to Compliance covers not only the economic sphere, but also respect for labor rights, environmental regulations, data protection and product safety. We have internal policies and updated protocols to ensure compliance with these legal frameworks, which are reviewed periodically to adapt to new regulations and international standards. Business ethics and good governanceThe company has a Code of Business Conduct that includes the fundamental values that guide our decisions and relations with stakeholders. This code applies to all employees and collaborators, and includes principles such as:
In addition, we maintain internal channels for consultation and reporting, which allow anyone in the organization to confidentially and securely communicate any possible irregular conduct. Preventing harassment and promoting respectDuring 2023, the protocol for the prevention of moral, sexual and gender-based harassment was reinforced, adapting it to the new legal requirements. This protocol guarantees a respectful work environment, where coexistence, equity and fair conflict resolution are promoted. Participation in responsible governance networks and standardsVentós is a member of sustainability and business ethics platforms such as RightSupply and EcoVadis, which reinforces our commitment to responsible governance and allows us to continuously assess and improve our performance in terms of institutional integrity. |
|

Materiality Analysis
Materiality analysis is an essential element in ensuring that the information contained in this report is reliable, complete and balanced. This analysis makes it possible to identify the most relevant topics for the organization and its stakeholders, ensuring that the content of the report is aligned with the real priorities of the business and the environment in which it operates.
In compliance with Law 11/2018, the Non-Financial Reporting StatementNFRD) must include significant information related to environmental, social and personnel-related issues, as well as aspects linked to respect for human rights, the fight against corruption and bribery, and the organization's impact on society.
During the year 2024, and on the occasion of the preparation of this report with a reference date of December 31, 2024, Ernesto Ventós has carried out a rigorous process of sector analysis using the most recognized international reference frameworks on sustainability:
GRI (Global Reporting Initiative)
SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board)
G&A Institute (Governance & Accountability)
This approach has made it possible to identify the material issues that have the greatest impact on the organization and are perceived as a priority by both the company itself and its stakeholders. These aspects are not only key to the preparation of this report, but also to the definition of business strategy, the design of specific initiatives and the consolidation of a solid relationship with stakeholders.
Materiality Matrix
As a result of the analysis carried out, a materiality matrix has been developed that visually represents the material issues classified according to:
Its internal strategic relevance, i.e. its impact on the organization.
Its external importance, understood as the value given by the environment, including customers, suppliers, employees, public administrations and society in general.
Materiality is defined as the threshold that determines which aspects should be reported because they have a substantial impact on business activity and stakeholder perception. However, even if some issues have not been classified as "highly material", Ernesto Ventós considers it essential to maintain a comprehensive vision that encompasses all ESG areas (environmental, social and governance), thus promoting a responsible and sustainable approach as a whole.
The material issues identified are presented below:
5. Diversity, inclusion and equity
8. Quality employment and work environment
ESG Coverage
Finally, the perimeter of coverage of each of the material topics covered in this document is indicated, specifying the organizational scope to which each aspect applies, in order to clearly delimit the scope of the actions and indicators included.
